The Cinematic Times covers a few things, and we aim to do each well rather than do everything halfway.

If you just finished Prisoners and you’re not ready to move on, we’ll point you toward exactly what to watch next — not just “other thrillers,” but something that hits the same way. Same tension, same atmosphere, same feeling of dread that builds slowly and doesn’t let up. That’s the thing about a really good movie. It leaves you wanting more of it, and “more of the same genre” doesn’t cut it. Genre is just a label. What you’re actually chasing is a feeling, and that’s what we try to match.

We also put together lists with real opinions behind them — best mind-bending movies, best dark detective films, best Korean thrillers. And beyond that, we spend a lot of time digging up films that most people have never heard of.
